Google search results show the same website has attempted to spam with previous attempts.

Buy Office Home & Business get FREE Publisher!
I’ve been getting emails from suppliers advertising this free publisher offer – however none of the links would work!
Well here it is (courtesy of a good friend!)
http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/Pages/Australia/publisher_offer_details.aspx
If you have already bought Home & Business you will need your license key – Don’t worry if you can’t find your key – a quick phone call to us and we will assist you in finding it!
Your purchase of H&B needs to fall in a certain time frame, it’s later than 07/07/2011 as I found out!
and it will tell you after you put in your key.
This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer
I had a client come across this error message while trying to click on a link in Outlook & wouldn’t open the webpage in IE.
It is a known issue - http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310049
However by trying all methods, including “Microsoft Fix it” it still failed to resolve the problem!
To fix the issue I had to create the missing Registry Key “.html” and Default String “htmlfile”
WARNING: Be very careful - serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly.
As usual – here at Waldon – we will be more than happy to resolve this problem, and any other issues that you may have, by either remote assistance or by an onsite visit.
Need V’s Want and Solution V’s Product
I had a phone call from a potential customer the other day, wanting to purchase a piece of hardware. Instead of getting a quick sale I started to ask some questions regarding to why; Long story short – after a 30 min conversation the person’s problem was on the way to being fixed, and he hadn’t purchased/wasted his money on said hardware, which he was obviously quite grateful of.
Over the last couple of months I’ve had several conversations like this, whether it be over the phone or on site – at WALDON, we are here to provide a solution that you need and not just products that you want!
Sigh! – Another (Not so original) Scam & Facebook Security Issue?
http://www.zdnet.com.au/scam-switches-from-microsoft-to-telstra-339319644.htm
As reported in the above link, Instead of “Microsoft” ringing you, it is now “Telstra” – trying to tell you your computer has been infected.
If you get a suspect call – Just inform them the conversation and phone number are being recorded for training purposes – and see what happens! (and then hang up!)
As usual if you think your computer has been infected/compromised in any way – a quick phone call to Waldon will sort out any problems that you may (or may not) have!
On another note – There are (allegedly) reports that authority tokens used by Facebook apps to access profiles have leaked onto the internet and while Facebook has fixed the security issue, these authority tokens don’t expire.
Apparently changing your password resets/removes these leaked tokens making sure your profile can’t be hacked by this method.
True or not – It’s a good reminder to frequently change your passwords for sites such as Facebook et al!
Crsytal Ball Time
Microsoft has released information on the next version of Windows – Windows 8!
http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/01/microsoft-unveils-windows-8-tablet-prototypes/
Head over and have a look – I was at first a bit skeptical but I’m involved in a project which will utilize tablets - but after the video I was slightly impressed.
I’m not holding my breath – as stated in the video “more info will be released over the next year”.
Interesting times ahead.
